CAFS Technologies Featured at Exhibit

To kick-off the week-long celebration of the 111th Foundation of the College of Agriculture and Food Science (CAFS), the CAFS Exhibit was formally opened to the public on March 3 after the ribbon-cutting led by Department of Agriculture Secretary William D. Dar and Dean Elpidio M. Agbisit, Jr.

With the Foundation theme “Enhancing Agricultural Productivity of Filipino Farmers through CAFS Technologies”, the exhibit showcases various technologies developed by the College. The technologies were categorized into 5 divisions, namely: Food Processing Technologies, Pest Management Technologies, Animal Production Technologies, Crop Production Technologies, and Postharvest Technologies.

The exhibit will run from March 3 to March 5 at the Seniors’ Social Garden, UPLB. The exhibit is just one of the many activities of the CAFS for the week. Other activities include a whole-day TechnoDemo on March 4, Recognition Day on March 5, and Commemoration Ceremony and Family Day on March 6. (AKS Mojar)
