UPLB, CCA- Manila seals MOU for Culinary Agriculture

June 11 – the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) and the Center for Culinary Arts – Manila (CCA-Manila) signed a memorandum of understanding to offer the Diploma in Culinary Agriculture. UPLB was represented by Chancellor Fernando C. Sanchez, Jr., College of Agriculture and Food Science Dean Enrico P. Supangco, and Office of the International Linkages Director Simplicio Medina. Meanwhile, CEO of the Cravings Group Ms. Marinela G. Trinidad, Chancellor for Education Ma. Veritas F. Luna, and Business Development and PR Director Liza Morales headed the CCA – Manila group.

With this new partnership, UPLB and CCA – Manila hope to increase the interest of students to take agriculture and oppose recent trend of declining enrollment in agriculture courses. Currently, the program is still under development and will be offered in 2019. (CELee)
