CAFS scores 100% passing rate in Agriculturists Licensure Examination; remains as top performing school for 21 consecutive years
The UPLB College of Agriculture and Food Science (CAFS) performed remarkably in the recently concluded 2024 Agriculturists Licensure Examination when it registered a 100% passing rate (127 examinees/passers) compared to the national percentage of 50.78% (3,628 passers out of 7, 144 takers/examinees). Thus, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has recognized UPLB CAFS as top performing school, a recognition which has been consistently awarded to UPLB CAFS since the examination started in 2003.
To be a top performing school, one must either have 100 or more examinees or 40 to 99 takers and with at least 80% passing rate.
The UPLB CAFS graduates who made it to the top 10 are: (1st) Ian Gabriel R. Mangulabnan (Agricultural Systems Institute-ASI), 89.67%; (3rd) Tiffany Leanne C. Catbagan (ASI), 89.18%; (4th) Paula Jane S. Jamir (ASI), 89.02%; (5th ) Gwyneth F. Magsael (Institute of Animal Science-IAS), 89.01%; (9th ) John Paulo B. Micaya (Institute of Crop Science-ICropS), 88.35 %; (10th ) Chloe Marie Joyce G. De Leon (IAS), 88.18%; and (10th)) Vince Ivan Paul D. Gamboa (ICropS), 88.18%.
The Agriculturists Licensure Examination was administered on November on November 12, 13, and 14, 2024 in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Palawan, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.
